Haunts
Haunts is a paranormal podcast dedicated to telling you the true stories behind the world’s most haunting legends. Join your spirited host, Courtney, for a deep dive into the fascinating field of paranormal research, while she sheds light onto the true events behind the lore! Each episode of Haunts is dedicated to dissecting the most debated theories, events, and legends of the paranormal. As a seasoned paranormal researcher, Courtney investigates each haunt with a fine tooth comb, bringing only the hard hitting facts the table. She dives into various theories of parapsychology and discusses the science behind the so-called unexplained. But that’s not all! While Courtney is a firm believer in the paranormal, she’s also a natural (yet hopeful) skeptic with a curious mind. This dichotomy paves the way for an objective approach to each haunt she covers—allowing the listener to make the final call: is it a hoax or could it truly be a haunt? If you are in the market for a private island in the Adriatic Sea, Daksa Island is up for grabs... if you can stomach its menacing reputation that is. According to local lore, this seemingly pristine island comes with a pretty unnerving ghost story, which claims that the island is haunted by about sixty ghosts. Not to mention, the island is said to be cursed. Due to this reputation, it is rare for anyone to visit Daksa Island.. would you? The full show notes are available on the Haunts website. In February of 1891, advertisements for "Ouija, the Wonderful Talking Board" started popping up in newspapers across the United States. In the beginning, the ads described Ouija Boards in spectacular ways--stating even that they could answer questions "about the past, present, and future with marvelous accuracy." Given the illustrious nature of these advertisements, the Ouija Board became a very hot commodity among mediums and spiritualists. However, as the ghost story spread, the board took on a more sinister reputation; and before long, the Ouija Board was regarded as one of the most infamous board games in history. Nestled between two prominent ski resorts, the sleepy town of Stowe, Vermont is home to a haunted bridge and a chilling ghost story. So the legend goes, the bridge is haunted by the vengeful spirit of a jilted bride, who goes simply by the name, “Emily.” Today, the Gold Brook Covered Bridge, or Emily’s Bridge to paranormal enthusiasts, is one of the most infamous functioning covered bridges in New England. Though its story may be based in fiction. The full show notes are available on the {{Haunts}} website. The Basano Vase is a lesser-known paranormal artifact of 15th-century Italy. Not unlike more famous haunted objects such as the Dybbuk Box or Annebelle the Doll, the Basano Vase has a rather unusual ghost story. According to the legend, the Basano Vase was a {{cursed}} item known to unalive its owners. That is, if it ever even existed at all.The full show notes are available on the Haunts website. Trailer: Introducing Haunts

Ghost stories are commonly dismissed as nothing more than fictitious tales of what happens after this life. And over the last 8 years I have spent as a paranormal researcher I have found that this assumption is more often than not true. Not because the paranormal doesn’t exist, that’s far from the case if you want my opinion. But because the events behind these legends are much more terrifying than the supposed haunting could ever be. Introducing Haunts, listen now!
