At the height of the spiritualism movement, psychic mediums were constantly on the look out for new ways to interact with the spirit world. There were, of course, many bona fide mediums who worked tirelessly to connect their clients to their departed loved ones. But on the opposite side of that coin, there were countless would-be mediums who were out for a quick profit by taking advantage of the next fad. Enter spirit photography, which came with the promise of photographing the living alongside the spirits of their long dead loved ones. Is this practice a legitimate means for spirit communication, or just another get rich quick scheme? You decide!
